Andrew Chisholm – reporter / everything else
Andrew has spent over a year working as an intern at a daily newspaper, as well as two years experience working as a student journalist while attending Holland College. He has an eye for catching what others miss and is a strong believer that corporate media has been hurting communities by cutting newsroom budgets and expecting more for less.Andrew launched Island Edition as a way to keep his feet wet in local journalism after graduating college in 2011. |

Danielle Breaker - contributing reporter
Danielle thinks of Island Edition as a necessary independent media source for Prince Edward Island. The 31-year-old Holland College Journalism graduate recently joined IE after years of teaching English and traveling in many parts of Asia. She looks forward to connecting with members of the community in order to investigate and write a wide range of pertinent news and feature stories.. |
Do you like to write? Are you looking for an Island audience?
Island Edition is looking for talented writers who would be willing to contribute to the site on a weekly basis. Consideration will be given to those who hold a background in journalism, but anyone with a passion to write is more than welcome to get in touch.
We are currently looking for people to focus on the following topics: Entertainment, politics, sports and community.
As a small and independent organization, Island Edition is unable to pay those who contribute…for now. We do our best to help cover some of the expenses our writers incur. Make your pitches to andrew@islandedition.ca
